My wife and I ate lunch here and it was outstanding. The way this place works, is that you can call and reserve a special lunch (which we did) which changes everyday. You can also order off a menu. Either way, your food is prepared by a true chef and is delicious. Places like this make Ensenada special.

This coffee shop was a great find. They have a variety of breakfast meals, sandwiches, even a keto breakfast. Their drinks are all fresh blends like their chai latte. The staff was attentive. The facilities are a bit small which is why we recommend to go as early as possible. At the end of your meal if you so wish you can buy local artist magnets and t-shirts. Overall, it was totally worth it. There SHHHH CARAJILLO... So good and it's Pet friendly

It was delicious ! And the people of the café speak English. We had a really good time enjoying our breakfast/brunch I had egg, mixed with pork, and some spices. And some potatoes and tortillas for 195$MXN

I was worried about posting this because some times the hidden gems get to much exposure and it ruins the experience. But this place I have to share about. An unforgettable experience not just a meal, but art on a plate. Escama isn’t just a café. It’s a masterpiece. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The service is absolutely top-tier attentive without being overbearing, and the staff clearly love what they do. You can feel the care in every interaction, and it creates a beautiful atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. The food? Next level. Every dish is like edible art visually stunning, perfectly balanced, and packed with flavor. Whether it’s the Moroccan mushroom hummus, the smoked tuna focaccia, the French Panoso, or their creative juices and matcha lattes, every bite tells a story. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are bold, and you can feel the chef’s passion behind each plate. Even the drinks at the coffee bar are crafted with love. From the herbal teas to the house-made chai and specialty espresso tonics, everything is intentional and beautifully presented. This place is a true gem. If you’re stopping in Ensenada Escama is an absolute must. It’s not just about eating. It’s about being nourished, creatively inspired, and taken care of by some truly incredible humans. 10/10. Escama Gastro.Cafe is truly a hidden jem. I ran into this breakfast/lunch Cafe by asking the locals in El Sauzal. Its a true gourmet restaurant and a affordable price. Its own and run by women and they pay attention to everything. There dishes dont disappointed at all. Explosive authentic mexican flavorful foods here. This place is definitely a must try. I know that I will coming back. Come and try for yourselves and feed your food souls. God bless my brothers and sisters.
